ABOUT OUR FOUNDATION COURSE IN GROUP ANALYSIS
An exciting one-year in-person course exploring the key components of group analysis through a
mix of theory and practice seminars and an intensive experience in a year-long experiential group.

Who is this course for?
● For those with a personal or professional interest in developing an understanding of their
relationship to groups and group dynamics.
● For those working, or wishing to work, with groups.
● For those interested in starting professional training as a group practitioner and/or group analyst.

10 Saturdays - 5th Oct, 9th Nov, 7th Dec, 11th Jan, 8th Feb, 8th Mar, 29th Mar, 10th May, 7th Jun, 5th July
09:15am - 6:30pm comprises seminars, talks and experiential groups.
On five of the ten weekends the day will extend to 8.30pm so that students and regular staff can
take part in a large group. There will be coffee/tea breaks and a lunch break during the day.
Orientation session: Friday 27th September 6:00 - 7:30pm online
Fees** (inclusive of non-refundable £100 registration fee).
The course fees (which include the £200 non-refundable registration fee) are:
Self-funding applicants: £1900
Early Bird Self-funding applicants (available to first 10 individuals, not organisations, who apply and pay before 30th April 2024): £1750
Organisational funding applicants: £2150

The Centre is approximately 13 minutes walk from Hove station (Brighton station is approximately 30 minutes walk). Hove station is on a direct line from London Victoria and on the Southern south-coast line. It is a 4-minute train journey from Portslade and a 7-minute train journey from Brighton Station.
New Road Psychotherapy Centre has a small kitchen with a fridge and microwave, WIFI and toilet facilities. Refreshments will be provided but students will need to bring/provide their own lunch etc. The Training is up a flight of stairs and there is currently no disabled access or lift.
The centre is five minutes from the seafront in central, leafy Hove. There are a range of shops, restaurants and cafes on the doorstep.
There is no parking on site but there is adequate fee paying parking in the surrounding area.
